There will be NO food service.
Team members / spectators should bring any food, beverages, needed. Bringing your own water bottle is recommended – remember to keep hydrated.
Each of the teams will play at least two games and all games will follow Special Olympics rules. Since the emphasis of this tournament is on fun and competition (required games for district), no awards will be given.
Family members and friends are invited to come and cheer for their teams. Lawn chairs, blankets, coolers are all acceptable and may even be necessary for yourself and any spectators (there are no bleachers, etc., for bocce spectator seating and limited seating anywhere). Parking is limited at Wick or the street – BEST parking is behind the MPS administrative building just to the west of Wick Field. Please remember that no pets are allowed on the grounds.
If it isn’t rain, it’s heat.
NO track or softball this evening. We hope to have softball tomorrow night as originally scheduled, even if shorter.
Yes – swim practice tonight – Nicolet High School, north entrance.
Due to the Sever Thunderstorm Watch and field conditions Bocce and Tennis practices are canceled for today Monday, June 13th.
Call the hotline (414-327-1016) before you come to bocce or tennis practice this evening. Rain supposed to come in mid-afternoon with potential high winds. The rain might be over by the time we would have practice, but we don’t know what the grounds conditions will be. So please call the hotline – it should be updated no later than 5pm.
There still is a tournament this coming Saturday – bocce about 9:15am-1:30pm – more details later. Wick Field, about 50th and Vliet.
Always weather permitting and it doesn’t look much better this week. Check the hotline on individual days for any updates 414-327-1016
