NO BOCCE TONIGHT

Heat index rising thru the day – muggy and hot.  No bocce practice this evening Monday August 26th. End of practices for the season.

Our 1st place teams, All Stars, Bengals and Westies we congratulate you and onto the State Games in September.

Decision for softball pending although it is supposed to be even hotter tomorrow.

Don’t forget – first bowling is Saturday.

Fall Registration Now Open

Fall sports registration is now open.

Athlete MUST ATTEND: • minimum of 5 practices by November 5, 2024 or athlete may not be registered for the Bowling Competition and a minimum of 9 practices for the entire 2024 season. Include a check with this registration form, for $100.00 (or $50.00 for the partial payment option) to cover the weekly bowling fees made out to: North Suburban Special Olympics.
• The Bowling Regional on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Mandatory to be eligible to advance to State.
• The Bowling Competition will be on Saturday-Sunday, December 7-8, 2024, if advancing to State (Wausau).
Athlete MUST ATTEND: • A minimum of 4 practices by October 12, 2024 and a minimum of 7 practices for the entire season or athlete will not be registered as part of the team and/or may not be allowed on the team next year. • At least two games prior to the SOWI Volleyball competition on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Bowling starts this Saturday, August, 2nd at Brown Deer Lanes. Doors open at 10am.

2022 Fall Sports

It’s almost fall – yes, summer is going by too fast.

This fall, athletes from NSSO can compete in Volleyball or Bowling.

VOLLEYBALL:   Practices will start the week of Labor Day (first date is Wednesday September 7) and continue through mid-November.  We will be splitting volleyball into two nights as in prior years (Monday or Wednesday).  Our practice site will be the Milwaukee Safety Academy. Please remember to ENTER the north side doors towards the parking lot, not the front door, and remember to use the sign in sheet (athletes, coaches, spectators).

BOWLING:  Practices will start on Saturday, August 27, at Brown Deer Lanes; practices will be held every Saturday up to and including November 26th.  Practices start promptly at 10:15am, please be there 15 minutes ahead; the door will not open until 10:00am.  The fee this year is set at $ 100.00.

USA Games in Orlando

We cheer on everyone, but especially athletes Cathy Hanin, Carolyn Kiewit, and Dan Zalewski and also Michael Junck (now a resident of McFarland).  Also cheer on the coaches – Micheal Mentzel, Bob Selingo and Kevin Szydel.
